The Westwood School achieved Technology status in 2005. As one of only two schools in Coventry with Technology status we are successfully using our status to continue to

• Raise attainment across all subjects with high quality teaching and learning supported by technology including ICT.
• Develop our curriculum to provide a range of vocational and traditional courses in science and technology and across all subjects for all ages including adults
• Develop links with our community including local employers whose businesses use technology, science and engineering

We have very strong links with local businesses and community groups. These links allow staff and students to gain expertise and knowledge as well as providing network opportunities. Our curriculum is enhanced by the work carried out in and out of school by community groups, local employers, other educational and training organisations and ambassadors. In return our students’ work in the community is highly valued by our local partners. Our business partners include Rolls Royce, Sainsburys plc, Trinity Expert Systems, MNB Precision Ltd, Ryona Tools, Barclays Bank and Eon.
