We believe parents/carers are crucial to further improvement and we therefore value their views and consider at all points in decision making their views about whole school matters including their own children’s learning, well-being and development. To achieve this we:
-
regularly consult on whole school matters, for example, most recently the change to Trust status and Building Schools for the Future;
-
regularly ask parents/carers to complete questionnaires at parent evenings and tutor evenings for all Year groups – currently 80% attended with other parents not attending seen by Pastoral staff and/or Leadership Group members. An ‘Every Child Matters’ with external stakeholders and support agencies present is held in response to parental wishes;
-
ensuring staff are easily accessible if parents have any disabilities or special requirements difficulties by holding meetings at ground floor level, engaging external agencies or internal non teaching staff, for example, our Youth Worker to support parents/carers.
