Student Voice Loud and Clear

The Student Council were invited to contribute to the planning for the refurbishment and rebuilding of The Westwood School by the three companies tendering for the project. One of the companies commented:

“The students were all very polite, attentive and positive and able to express themselves well. We were impressed by the way they engaged with each other when discussing their response to all the tasks and in general discussion at each”.

“The students were confident and engaged fully in the discussions. At times,   
the older students actually led the discussion in a mature and realistic manner”.

They have also been successful since September in improving the hygiene arrangements in the toilets, improving the catering facilities and influencing changes in the Key Stage 4 uniform.
