Steven Hoskins

Hi,

I was a Westwood School pupil from 2001 to 2006 achieving GCSE's in Maths, English, Science, Food Technology, Citizenship and Religious Studies.  I went on to work with Horses after going on a day course following my school Work Experience placement at Bubbenhall Bridge Equestrian Centre.

My passion for fashion came at an early age however I did not progress further with this until 2007 where I started a blog on free website provider www.Webs.com. The followers and readership became so big and the site became so popular over the coming months I was frequently asked to do bigger features with companies such as Harvey's Bristol Cream and cult clothing line PPQ whose celebrity following includes Peaches Geldof.  I also launched the Hugo Boss 'Element' fragrance as well as the Gucci ‘Timepiece’ collection.

My website, if you'd like to visit it is www.shfashionfix.com.

Guy Mellors
(1989 – 2010)

It is with great sorrow and regret that we at The Westwood School have learned of the death of our pupil Guy Mellors in a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Guy was a popular student with many friends, and still kept in contact with some of our students when he returned tothe Canley area and the Army Cadet Force. Students have been expressing their sorrow for the death of Guy, who is fondly remembered as a keen sportsman and a cheeky chap.

His commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Gareth Bex, from the Counter IED Task Force paid tribute to him saying: "Sapper Mellors was an impressive young man and an outstanding searcher. Fearless and determined he was a great team player, well loved and respected by his comrades.”
